A lovely and civilized place in a charming old town. Like so many of the houses in the town it carries a sign about its history. Our standard room was spacious, comfortable and very well appointed and we were very kindly assisted by the elegant hostesses. Quality in the restaurant was high as well, we enjoyed delicious local dishes (knodel and pasta) with preparation quality and taste equivalent of the slowfood approved restaurant in nearby Rungen. We would be very happy to return.
Margot went really above and beyond to help me out when I stayed there for one night. I arrived late, with an injury, and my car parked somewhere else. Margot, in english, helped me get a dinner before everything closed. Then arranged a taxi for me to go and collect my car. And then got some ice for my injury. The whole time she was friendly and happy. Thanks so much!! The room was also much larger and nicer than I expected for the price. Overall, a really excellent albeit short stay.

This was the second time I stayed in this inn overnight on Transalp with the bikes to Lake Garda. The first time in 2017 there was nothing to complain about. The second time in August 2023, I found the service to be below average and not consistently friendly. At the same time, my room was really dated and smelled musty.
The food was okay but not great.
For €75 per person you can expect a bit of hospitality.
The hospitality can no longer be topped. Just lovely. The food perfect. We are already looking forward to the next time.
